Clare
Clare is Lydia’s mum and a much-loved part of The Stamford Catsitter team. She has been an animal lover for as long as she can remember, having grown up with cats throughout her childhood and always having pets as part of family life. She currently has two rescue Yorkshire Terriers of her own and absolutely adores spending time with animals of all shapes, sizes and personalities.
Since recently retiring after 25 years working for the NHS, Clare has been enjoying dedicating more of her time to pet care and becoming part of the family business. She also volunteers weekly at Animal Helpline Dog Rescue in Wansford, where she regularly walks and handles rescue dogs with a wide variety of breeds, temperaments and behavioural needs. This has given her plenty of experience working with everything from excitable, energetic dogs to those who may need a calmer and more patient approach.
Clare is incredibly caring, reliable and organised, and takes huge pride in looking after both pets and their homes to an exceptionally high standard. Clients often comment on how spotless and tidy their homes are when they return! She understands how important it is for owners to feel completely comfortable leaving their pets in someone else’s care and always treats every home and animal as if they were her own.
Outside of pet care, Clare enjoys holidays, spending time with her family and making the most of her retirement. She is also a very proud grandma to Charlotte’s two children and is excited to soon become grandma to Lydia’s little one too! Her warm nature, life experience and genuine love of animals make her a wonderful part of The Stamford Catsitter team.
