The Stamford Catsitter & Covid-19:
How to prepare for your booking
Communication
Please let us know if you or anyone in your household has recently been symptomatic or self-isolating due to Covid-19. We will then review on a case by case basis.
If you are due to also have family or friends visit whilst you are away, please make us aware if they have been symptomatic recently and when they will be popping by. Once again, we will review our choice to visit on a case by case basis.
Feel free to ask us any questions surrounding hygiene and Covid-19, so that both parties feel comfortable.
Preparation
For new clients we are asking to keep Meet & Greet’s virtual, conducted over Skype/FaceTime/Zoom where possible. You can take us around the house and point out key areas and where things are kept.
Ahead of your pet’s first visit, we would ask that you leave out all of the bits and pieces required. Most clients do this already, but if you’re able to leave food, treats, bowls forks etc. in one place and poo scoopers, poo bags in another that would be helpful. If you could leave all of these items clean, we will clean them before we leave too.
Key collection should aim to be contactless. You are welcome to pop them through our front door where they will be secure, or leave them outside your house at an agreed time for us to collect (you can oversee).
Details
We will wear gloves and a mask on all home visits and while carrying out duties in your house. This is one pair of gloves per visit, one mask per household, which we will take with us when we leave and dispose of safely. We will wash hands, wipe down door handles and surfaces with disposable wipes every time we visit too. And when we have more than one home visit per day, we will change PPE between visits.
If you live in a shared household, we may not be able to visit at this time. We will review on a case by case basis. We ask for full transparency upfront so that we can ensure we are entering a home safely.
Finally, please make sure your emergency contact is up to date.
CORONAVIRUS (COVID-19) update: 14th May 2020
Following the announcement made by the UK government this week outlining their Covid-19 Recovery Strategy , we feel now is the right time to begin offering our services again. All visits and walks will be carried out in accordance with the CFSG and government guidelines. This will inevitably mean that we will be taking more time between visits and walks to ensure we are meeting the required standards, for our safety and for yours.
It goes without saying that if you or anyone in your household is experiencing any Covid-19 symptoms you should let us know prior to any arranged visit or walk, as we will not be able to carry these out.
Below is a list of what we are now carrying with us in the car for use and wear as seems necessary.
