Freya

Freya is a caring and thoughtful pet sitter based in Cambridge, with a genuine love for animals that comes from a lifetime of being surrounded by them. She grew up with rescue dogs of all shapes and sizes and has plenty of hands-on experience caring for dogs with different personalities, energy levels and needs.

After sadly losing an elderly cat following a long period of ill health, Freya and her partner welcomed a kitten into their home earlier this year. This experience gave her a real appreciation for how important it is to find the right sitter — someone patient, gentle and attentive — especially when pets are vulnerable or need extra reassurance.

Freya regularly pet sits for friends and family and is confident caring for a wide range of animals, from affectionate lap cats to energetic and needy dogs (including German Shepherds!). She is calm, compassionate and reliable, and takes pride in treating every pet as if they were her own.

Alongside pet sitting, Freya works full-time in a flexible role as an Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Advisor, which means she is highly organised, an excellent communicator, and very used to working independently. These skills translate perfectly into pet care, where consistency, trust and clear communication with owners are key.

Freya loves providing peace of mind to pet owners and creating a safe, comfortable environment where pets feel relaxed, cared for and happy while their humans are away.
