Holly
Holly knew from an early age that she would always want to work with animals. Growing up, she found so much joy in walking neighbourhood dogs, caring for her childhood guinea pigs and horse riding, which eventually led her into equine care and gaining a qualification with the British Horse Society. Alongside her love for animals, Holly also completed a degree in Early Childhood Studies, something which reflects her naturally caring and compassionate personality. Her background has also given her the opportunity to teach young people how to horse ride, combining both her love of animals and helping others.
Throughout her adult life, Holly has owned a variety of pets including rats, mice, cats and, most recently, her horse Queenie. She has also recently welcomed an adorable new kitten called Pablo into the family! Caring for such a wide range of animals has given Holly valuable experience with medication, grooming and supporting elderly pets, as well as understanding the importance of patience, personalised routines and a gentle approach tailored to each individual animal.
Holly especially loves getting to know every pet’s unique personality and building trust with them over time. Whether it’s spending time with affectionate cats, energetic dogs or more nervous pets who need a calmer approach, she always aims to make animals feel safe, comfortable and well cared for.
Although her dream pet would be a large breed dog after meeting so many wonderful dogs whilst working on horse yards, Holly says she’s currently far too busy enjoying time with everyone else’s pets through The Stamford Catsitter team!
