Lydia
After 3 years of living and working in London and growing (very!) tired of that lifestyle, Lydia moved back to her hometown of Stamford to set up The Stamford Catsitter.
Intending only for it to be a part-time job at first, she still pinches herself that it has grown in size to service 3 cities, 10 towns and countless villages - as well as now boasting over 25 sitters and 1200 clients. Crazy!
She grew up around cats, many of which were rescues. She therefore has a very in depth knowledge of feline behaviour - she has been coined ‘The Cat Whisperer’ on many occasions!
Although cats were her first love, when she rescued her dog Tobie from Animal Helpline rescue in 2015 she fell head over heels for dogs, too. She loves having both in her life, but it made her realise how hard it can be to find care solutions for them when going away. She therefore set up The Stamford Catsitter to fill what she felt was a gap in the market by offering a modern, interactive way to keep up to date with our furry friends when we can’t be with them!
In her spare time Lydia loves to squeeze in as many holidays as possible, making a bee-line for the nearest supermarket to buy pet food for the stray animals as soon as she lands.
