Sofie

Sofie is a highly qualified and experienced animal care professional with over a decade of hands-on experience in clinical, competitive, and leisure settings — both in the UK and internationally. She holds a BSc in Bioveterinary Science from Hartpury University, alongside Level 3 Canine Hydrotherapy and Canine First Aid qualifications, making her an incredible asset to the team.

Currently based in Norfolk, Sofie works as a canine hydrotherapist, supporting dogs through their rehabilitation, recovery, and ongoing health and fitness. Her clinical background gives her a deep understanding of animal wellbeing, behaviour, and physical care — and she knows exactly how important it is to have complete peace of mind when trusting someone with your beloved pet.

Sofie joined The Stamford Cat Sitter team to continue doing what she loves outside of work hours: spending time with animals, building trust, and providing thoughtful, reliable care when pet parents can’t be there themselves. Calm, knowledgeable, and full of compassion, she brings a gentle confidence to every visit — whether she’s walking dogs, caring for cats, or simply spending quiet time with nervous or senior pets.

Outside of her work with animals, Sofie is a keen equestrian, countryside walker, and fitness enthusiast who enjoys sport, going to the gym, and getting outside with her gorgeous Weimaraner, Lola. In her downtime, she can usually be found curled up with Lola, a brew, and a good romcom — or reading up on the latest veterinary research to keep her skills sharp.

She’s looking forward to meeting lots of new faces — both human and furry — and we’re delighted to have her as part of the team!
